In honor of the 20th anniversary of Clueless yesterday, today’s post is a get the look all about Cher Horowitz’s style.
If there is any movie from the 1990s that is still superiorly relevant in both culture and style, it’s Clueless. Cher will always be #HairGoals and #StyleGoals. Also I seriously want my own virtual closet.
In honor of this fantastic movie (which, if you’ve never seen it, promptly open your Netflix account and do so), I’ve recreated five of my favorite outfits from Cher. Choosing just five was incredibly difficult, because I love practically everything she wears.
Without further ado, enjoy:
The first outfit I recreated is Cher’s cute eyelet top and colored pants from the scene where the jerky lawyer freaks out on her for highlighting the wrong case dates. This is also worn when she finally kisses Josh, which is adorable and weird at the same time because technically they are kind-of-a-little-bit related. Same kind of Serena/Dan Humphrey weird.
Cher has some seriously fab plaid ensembles in her wardrobe. This look is more so inspired by those than an actual recreation of just one.
Okay, how adorable are these bow knee high socks from Kate Spade?! I’m obsessed. These have Cher written ALL OVER THEM. My cardi is from Gap, shirt from H&M, skirt from Vera Wang Princess, and flats from H&M.
Casual Cher is another one of my favorite looks. How is this now the perfect outfit for lounging around the house? Comfy and cute, plus bonus points for those 90s clips on her shoulder.
My lavender shirt from H&M, matching cardi from Gap, ripped light wash jeans from American Eagle, and little sneakers from American Eagle are the perfect way to relax and fight over whether you’re going to watch cartoons or CNN.
This is probably my favorite outfit of Cher’s, and easily one I will be wearing once fall rolls around again. It’s preppy, it’s fabulous, it’s comfortable.
What I am wearing: Forever 21 skirt, blue and white striped Old Navy skirt, navy blue cardi, and brown leather Aldo oxfords.
Last but certainly not least, Cher’s perfect red dresses. “You don’t understand, this is an Alaia. It’s like a totally important designer.”
Both the dress and the shoes are from Express!
Thank you so much for reading!
