This year’s After Party sale was definitely…interesting.
Lilly played around with a virtual line, and I have to say I didn’t like it that much. I get why they did it, but they didn’t execute it very well, and the wait times were pretty long. I woke up a half an hour before the sale started and logged on immediately as it launched at 8 a.m. I apparently did not do that fast enough though, because I had about 15,000 people ahead of me in line. It took me about an hour to get into the website, which was a little frustrating.
However, what was even more frustrating this year were the prices. Cotton dresses for $69? Elsa tops for $99? The deals weren’t amazing, but I managed to snag a few things that I absolutely love.
Here is what I picked up!
This is the Briella Fit and Flare Dress in In The Vias. I’ve always wanted a Briella, and while I already own a pair of shorts in this pattern, I figured it would be okay to get the dress too since I can’t wear shorts in Pittsburgh all year round. This was originally $188 and I got it for $69.
This is the Maisy Strappy Back Slip Dress in Big Flirt. This was top on my list and I’m so happy they still had it when I reached the website. I’m planning on wearing this on the first day of school this year. Love it! It retails for $208 and I got it for $79.
The last thing I bought was the Andie Boatneck Top in Back it Up. I LOVE THIS PRINT. Those are ostriches. Isn’t that adorable? I really wanted one of the dresses, but I felt like $89 was a lot for it. So I settled with this! Retails for $68, I got it for $29.
Did you pick up anything from the Lilly sale? I’m hoping that the next one is a little better in terms of prices and website management.
