Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas this year. I loved being able to spend time with my family just hanging out and eating delicious food. Christmas this year was a little strange because it didn’t really feel like Christmas because of the weather. It was in the mid-60s on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
But that doesn’t mean that winter temperatures aren’t going to sneak up on us soon. And when they do, here are some of my best tips for staying chic – and cozy – while catching up on beauty sleep. After all, who doesn’t want to feel fabulous and refreshed?
Put Down Your Phone. Instagram and Twitter will be there in the morning! One of the best ways to ensure getting a full night’s rest is to put away the devices at least an hour or two before bedtime. That way, your mind can fully relax and unwind without extra stimulation keeping you awake.
Take a Luxurious Bath. It’s not Christmastime without being gifted some lovely new bath products. Whether it’s a shower gel or a LUSH bath bomb, taking a nice long bath is one of the best ways to relax (and warm up) after a long day out in the cold. Spending an hour on yourself will help you chill out before bedtime. Lighting candles also adds an extra special touch.
Slip On Some New PJs. Is there anything better than new sleepwear? One of my favorite things in the world are pajamas and lingerie. Putting on a pretty new nightgown and robe or some cozy pajama pants is one of the best ways to pamper yourself this winter season. It’s the perfect combination of cute and comfortable. Adore Me has some gorgeous lingerie options out right now – and you can sign up to receive monthly sets, too, based on personalized style quiz results. It can be difficult to find lingerie and sleepwear that’s both beautiful and affordable, but Adore Me definitely takes the guess-work out of it. With a wide array of choices for anyone’s size, style or personality, you really can’t go wrong.
Play Some Tunes. One of my favorite ways to cap off the night is to snuggle up with a cozy blanket, put on my slippers, and listen to some good music. It’s a way to let your mind wander while shaking off the stress of the day.
Pick Up a Good Book. If there’s one thing I don’t do enough of anymore, it’s reading. When I was younger I used to plow through books like it was my job, but it’s difficult to find time to read for pleasure now that I’m older and in college. But the end of the night is the perfect time to pick that hobby back up again. Set aside an hour and choose a riveting tale. I’ve especially been loving this stunning edition of F. Scott Fitzgerald stories. The beautiful metallic cover and gold-threaded pages will definitely make you feel like the chicest gal around.
Thanks for reading!
