Hello everyone! The LONGEST time, no blog.
I’ve been so incredibly busy with school lately, and last week for spring break, I took a trip with my school to Paris! I had such an amazing time. Everything was so beautiful, and I kept saying that I wished I could move all of the chateaus and museums from Paris to Pittsburgh so I could visit more often.
I definitely enjoyed visiting and can’t wait to return, but I don’t think I could live there. The city is very European, and I learned I’m an American girl at heart who appreciates the simpler things about the U.S. 🙂 (Like being able to drive my car wherever I want and not having to rely on a metro system)
Because I’m me, I did quite a bit of shopping while I was there, so expect a post very soon on all of the beauty products I picked up while overseas! Popping into the various Pharmacies was one of my favorite parts of the trip. They’re different from American pharmacies, like CVS, because they mainly just sell health products and skincare. I was impressed by how many brands they offered (and how cheap they were). La Roche-Posay, Nuxe, Caudalie, Avene, etc.
I also grabbed some Bourjois makeup from Monoprix, which is kind of like a French Target. For drugstore makeup, it was pricier than I was expecting! Everything was over €10. I also don’t really know where French women purchase their makeup. It’s not available in the pharmacies, and besides Monoprix, I didn’t see any other store carrying drugstore things. There’s obviously the Sephora stores dotted around the city – all of which are spectacular, but I was a little underwhelmed with the selection of products not available in the U.S. – but other than that, makeup was sparse.
Here are some photos from my trip:
Hopefully I will be able to start posting more frequently again! School is still very busy, but I have more time on weekends now to take photographs. Plus, it’s warm again! Spring has definitely sprung.
Thanks for reading everyone. I hope you’ve all been great!
