A Lookbook Moment – Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2016

DSC_0227I should already know by now that resistance to Lilly Pulitzer new arrivals is pretty much futile.

I finally got around to wearing some of my other purchases from the Lunch at Lilly event about a month ago. Pittsburgh had beautiful weather in March, and then all of a sudden for the past two weeks, it was like “Yo, winter! You down for part two?”

Not cool (well, you know what I mean). I was away last weekend at a conference for the paper in Connecticut, and it was just as cold. I’m so happy the forecast looks like smooth sailing from here on out.

Anyways, I thought I’d show you some outfits I put together with these new pieces! I can already tell I’m going to be obsessed with them throughout the summer. The Essie top is so soft and perfect with shorts, and the Pansy skirt is super bright and fun. It’s actually a skort, with shorts under the skirt, which means there’s no chance you flashing anyone in case the wind catches you by surprise. (Anyone else have to walk around with their hands plastered to their sides when wearing a dress? Pittsburgh is so windy, and I can’t stand it.)

Enjoy!
