It’s been quite a while since I’ve put up a new post on here, and that seems to be the trend each year around this time. I get so busy with school and traveling, especially since it’s right around spring break. I did a post last year on where I was at during my break from blogging, and I’m going to do another one this year, as well. If you ever want to keep up with my adventures, follow me on Instagram! I post pictures daily, and it’s a great way to stay in the loop when I’m not blogging weekly.
I spent the past week traveling between Disney World with my sister and dad and Cleveland with my boyfriend to see The Lumineers. Here’s a snapshot of my week:
Surprise, surprise, we did some shopping while we were down in Orlando. Disney completely redid their “Disney Springs” district, which is mainly just a bunch of shops and restaurants. It’s so nice! I love the selection of shops, though there’s a Lilly Pulitzer there, and it’s quite dangerous for me. I ended up walking away with a few spring pieces that I can’t wait to show you here, including these gorgeous shorts that will be perfect for another upcoming trip. I ended up matching the shopping bag with my Essie dress LOL.
We went to The Boathouse one night for dinner and decided to take an Amphicar tour! If you’ve never seen one of these before, it’s basically a car that can also go in the water as a boat. Sooo cool. We rode around on the lagoon that surrounds Disney Springs for a while, watching the most beautiful sunset. It was so relaxing. I was worried about it being too windy and cold (the temperatures were in the 60s most of the week), but it was perfect! I loved it and would totally recommend taking a tour if you are in the Orlando area. I also highly recommend you eat dinner at The Boathouse, too. They have the most amazing seafood and mac n’ cheese. The dress I’m wearing here is also from Lilly Pulitzer.
We also spent quite a lot of time at the parks, namely Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival! I’d never been to Disney during this time of year before, and I was so excited to see everything. Literally, the entire park is covered in the most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen, and there are character topiaries everywhere. The upkeep on these must be incredible, especially since the festival runs through the end of May. It was so lovely, but it was definitely chilly! I had to bust out a cardigan for most of the week. ALSO. You guys, Target brought back the sandals I’m wearing here! They’re AMAZING, and they’re under $23. So comfortable. I spent all of my time in New York, D.C., and Florida last summer running around in these sandals, and my feet never hurt once.
After Florida I headed off to Cleveland with my boyfriend to see The Lumineers! He had gotten me the tickets as a Christmas present, and I was sooo excited to see them, and they were so good live. Unlike the large soft pretzels you saw in the pictures above, we had terrible ones at the concert and were so starving by the end of the show that we had to desperately seek out food at midnight. I ordered the wrong thing the entire weekend but my boyfriend was nice and let me have some of his white pizza which, literally you guys, was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We also went to the West Side Market and had amazing chicken fried rice from this little stand inside. I love markets, and this one did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I don’t have many pictures from the trip because my phone was out of space (#iPhoneProblems), but I did snap a quick pic of East 4th Street. It’s a really pretty street with a bunch of restaurants, and I can’t imagine how lovely it must look at night in the summertime when all of those lights are on! We had so much fun, but it was FREEZING outside. Definitely a shock going from 60s and 70s to 25 for the high LOL.
How was your spring break?? Let me know!
